Black Business Funding…. Are we getting help or are get suffering pain?

Helping any race that is still being denied access to funding due to institutionalized and systematic racism can be extremely challenging, so I want to thank the companies who have established a funding opportunity and are commited to the economic growth of black business.

However, it’s not helping the single-owned and operated black businesses. I have explored, dissected, and applied for various black business funding opportunities, either for my own business or my clients; and I tell you, I have not been successful.

My biggest obstacle is the underwriting requirements, which appear to be for more financially successful black business that have more than 5 employees or the requirements are still the same ones that most black businesses are denied for.

I wonder if a real solution is on the horizon or are companies just trying to show they did do something to help black business for namesake. If we can’t access the funds, then the opportunity is wasted.

WE the Black Business community deserve access to funding for black business that is efficient and effective not convoluted or unobtainable. We MUST have funding opportunities that will lead to economic growth for everyone.

Its either all of Us or it is None of US because we are in this Together.
